Connecting Canadians through the power of sport

From the first pitch in the spring to the puck drop in autumn, sports connect Canadians in a truly unique and powerful way.

In Canada, sport brings diverse communities together, and transcends gender, age, and ethnicity. It allows us to put aside our differences and just share a moment.

At Rogers Sports & Media, we celebrate the unifying force of sports with our commitment to investing in the organizations, events and content that matters most to Canadians.

Since launching in 1998, Sportsnet has grown to become Canada’s #1 sports media brand, delivering premium content across its television, audio, streaming and digital platforms. Sportsnet boasts the most sought-after sports properties in the country, including the exclusive rights to national NHL broadcasts, the Toronto Blue Jays, Grand Slam of Curling and the National Bank Open presented by Rogers, as well as being a broadcast partner of the Toronto Raptors, NBA, FIBA, and Canada Basketball. With such a wealth of sports properties, paired with an all-star roster of broadcasters, Sportsnet’s world-class original content and live coverage continues to connect sports fans across Canada.

Our investment in sports is part of who we are. We have invested in Canadian franchises and premiere sporting events for the past 20 years. In 2000, under the vision of founder Ted Rogers, we purchased the Toronto Blue Jays to support Canada’s Team for the next generation. In 2011, we continued our legacy of sports investment when we became a majority owner of Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors with our purchase of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.
